Assisting Personal Activities

At Happy Breeze Therapy & Disability Services, our Assisting Personal Activities service is designed to make daily living easier, safer, and more comfortable. We support individuals with tasks such as personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, mobility, and household responsibilities, while respecting their privacy and choices.

Our approach is centred on encouraging independence—we don’t just provide assistance, we also guide and motivate individuals to participate in their daily routines wherever possible. By doing so, we help build confidence, dignity, and a greater sense of self-reliance.

Whether at home or in the community, our professional and compassionate team ensures every individual can live with comfort, freedom, and a higher quality of life.

What does Assisting Personal Activities include?

Our service covers a wide range of daily tasks, such as personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, mobility support, household chores, and community access. The level of support depends on individual needs and goals.

Who can benefit from this service?

This service is designed for:

  • People living with a disability who need support in day-to-day tasks.

  • Elderly individuals requiring assistance with mobility or routines.

  • Individuals recovering from illness or surgery.

  • Anyone seeking independence while managing personal care and household responsibilities.

How is the support tailored to individual needs?

At Happy Breeze, we begin with an initial assessment to understand your routines, preferences, and abilities. Based on this, we create a personalised plan that provides the right level of support while promoting independence. We regularly review and adjust the plan as needs evolve.

Can I still do some tasks on my own if I receive support?

Absolutely. Our focus is on encouraging independence—we support you only where necessary and encourage you to participate in your own daily routines. For example, if you can manage dressing but need help with buttons or zippers, we assist without taking over completely.

Do you provide support outside the home as well?

Yes, we assist not only at home but also in the community. This may include going to medical appointments, grocery shopping, attending social activities, or recreational outings—ensuring you remain active and connected.
